Evaluation Results
As a committee, supported by our school we aim to;
Litter and Waste Minimisation
- Work towards reducing waste output following waste audit (No cost - courtesy of Changeworks)
- Continue reusing and recycling with feedback from classes to committee members for monitoring and evaluation
- Continue to inform school of the importance of reducing litter in the playground
- Complete a second litter pick audit and compare results to evaluate success
- Participate in ‘reusing’ workshops led by Tim Chamberlain – Eco-Artist (5x £30.00/hr + £30.00 expenses = £180.00)
Biodiversity *
- Maintain strong links with the Friends of Dalmeny Street Park (encourage school community to keep up to date via website – www.FDSP.btik.com)
- Develop a working group to maintain the large planter in
Dalmeny St
Park
, which has been put into the care of our school.
- Increase our understanding of growing a range of plants through the Drill Hall nursery project with support from knowledgeable members of our community
Energy
- Continue to develop awareness of things we can do to save energy in school
- Make energy saving posters reminding us to use lights, computers, radiators and windows with a responsible attitude.
- Committee members to report back on how well their class is following the eco-recommendations
